Quite cool if you are in slow moving traffic and able to safely sneak a look at the screen - amazed now many unsecured APNs around! I got six popping up outside the house!

Re: Support us using Navizon

Lots of idea flying around!

One site operator is planning how to send a PDA via courier to each of his mods in turn, using an extended battery, and low power consumption!

Any Trucker members here?

Re: Support us using Navizon

Here's a couple of tips to increase your collection of AP's and cell towers.

The wifi polls out every 20 secs, which is ok if you are on foot but not so great a 50mph. Try these cabs out to lower the wifi polling time Navizon earn money while you drive/walk around! - Page 11 - xda-developers

I found in urban areas and also on the move the number of ap's located increases (even found some new ap's on my route home that I thought I had maxed out.

For cell towers, if for example you are driving to and from work, on the return leg turn off 3G within comm manager and then you will pick up the GSM / GPRS cells that you would have missed being on 3G.

Re: Support us using Navizon

Looks like I'd better get this set up by Saturday then, as I'll be going across Manchester to Denton which should be good for quite a few. Then there's a 30 mile bike ride on Sunday, and of course the good old motorway trek from Manchester to Solihull on Thursday.
