Re: Support us using Navizon

Interesting results here today as well!

Had the Orbit2 on with WiFi, 3G and Gps but screen blanked from 6.35 to 8.05 (on train); got 7 AP's and 43 celks for drop of 30% battery

Turned screen on for 30 min walk through City and found another 550 AP's and 20 cells for further 20% drop. Most sites already logged though

Re: Support us using Navizon

I'll be using the Orbit 1 with Navizon tomorrow as I wander into London in the evening.

Re: Support us using Navizon

This evening in about 5 miles of cycling before my battery gave out (even on GSM only) I found 417 APs (351 new) and 11 cell towers (8 new). So half an hour on a bike netted me 1259 points, compared with 481 for over 4 hours in a car to Birmingham and back.
My cumulative total for APs is now over 2000! The rate I find them is going to slow down as I criss cross the area where I live, but it is incredible how many there are.

Re: Support us using Navizon

Well, I finally got around to installing Navizon and took the four legged friend around the block for a walk... When I got back, I had amassed the following:

Wifi discovered by you 252
Cell towers discovered by you 230
Wifi already mapped 22
Cell towers already mapped 48

Maybe I'll take a hint from Steph and pedal my way around since it is rather warm today... a whopping 63 degree Farhenheit or 17 degree Celsius... Just lovely, to bad it's overcast today, would really make a great day for a stroll... Oh, and this was with 3G, WiFi, and GPS all pinging away at once... I disabled the wifi once I got back home, since I've been reading about the battery drain issues...
