The EASY way to setup your SP settings on a Smartphone.

Ok, so you just bought your new QTEK 8500 (or any other SIM free Smartphone for that matter) and you wanna set it up to work with your UK SP. How do you do it? Read on......



Firstly you need to software unlock your phone to accept registry editing cabs. To do this download the following program and put it on your SD card.

RegeditSTG.exe.

Once done, run the program.

Now navigate down the tree and change the following entries:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1001 = 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1005 = 40

Next, select your SP and payment method from the following list, click on the link to download it and copy the cab file to your SD card.

O2 PAYG
Orange Contract
Orange PAYG
TMobile
Vodafone Contract
