Hi, I downloaded all the files for the player, even the ATI fix but when I go to options I dont see the ATI listed to select the settings that you have in ur original post. I have the HTC Mogul, could that be the reason why?

Thanks in Advance.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Hi Blaqdymunand welcome to 4WM

I would have thought that on the Mogul you should be able to install TCPMP player and run it, you do not need the patch that is for the Hermes, and you should not need to make any settings changes. Your best bet would be to uninstall TCPMP and the patch/fix and reload TCPMP and it should run ok.

By the way the Imageon settings are not applicable to the Mogul as it does not have this in its processor.

I was able to run it just fine (silly me) I just thought I was missing out on some awesome video quality or something (LMAO)

Thanks for the welcome and your quick response! Hopefully I will be able to contribute to thr forum, I do have some .tsk (theme) files that I made for myself (QVGA of course), but will be more than happy to share. I will search to see if a thread has already been started before I create another tho.

See ya L8r.

Question Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Ok, I got a Tilt. Supposedly it's the same 400Mhz processor as the 8525. When I go into the settings there is no ATI Imageon. Maybe not the same?

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

You are right it is not the same, with the Tilt you do not need to use the patch/fix provided that is for the Hermes only. You should just be able to install TCPMP and run it on your Tilt without changing any settings at all.

So it would be best to uninstall TCPMP and the patch if used, and then reinstall just TCPMP, and it should run fine.

I did install TCPMP without any patch. I installed the Windows Media Codecs listed in this thread. Is that what you mean?

If not then it still doesn't work. I get sound, but no video. My movies worked perfectly fine on my 8525 before, so nothings different, just different phone.

Try uninstalling TCPMP and then reinstall it, then try playing your movie without making any changes to the settings or installing the codecs.

Awesome, it worked. Thanks.

Just a quick question though. If I upgrade my OS to a cooked ROM, should I just still install it normally without the patch/fix?

Thanks
