Re: TCPMP QVGA v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player +all codecs here (UPDATED 17-12-0

You should be ok copying the codecs across, they should then hopefully show up in the file association list after a soft reset.

Hi Silverdoxxx and welcome!

I have not used the Q8, but you could try running in raw frame buffer mode, make the change in settings.

Question Re: TCPMP QVGA v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player +all codecs here (UPDATED 17-12-0

Hi BOZ, how have you been?

I was wondering if you have, or know of a TCPMP player CAB version that works on 6.1 at least & 6.5 WM Roms? Mainly CRC's 13.4 stable build on the Tytn or 8525's? Your versions have never failed me till now when I tried this rom out. Now all the option bottons on the botoom are all blacked out. I have tried a few things already withno luck. Heres my last post over yonder...

I am trying to use TCPMP player on this CRC's ROM with no luck so far.
-I have searched this thread for the right TCPMP cab. No luck
-I have seached the forum for the right TCPMP cab, and found this thread "TCPMP new VS2008 builds for WM6.1 with FLV built in - in the Development and Hacking forum of xda-developers." URL---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...7&goto=newpost
No luck with this one either, as all the option & menu boxes are totaly blacked out.
Is there no one using this great CRC rom that uses or has used a working version of TCPMP on it? If so can you Please kindly pass on the link, Cab, or a PM of how to get a working version on this rom. Thanks Gem.

Didn't want to other you if I was able to find on my own Boz. But I think you are the main man out there with ALL the answers when it comes to working TCPMP CAB's . Or Maybe you can recomend the best rom you found or use on your Tytn's that TCPMP work on. I want some of the newer features that the 6.1 Roms give now.

Thanks a lot!
Gem

Re: TCPMP QVGA v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player +all codecs here (UPDATED 17-12-0

Hi gem, I am well thanks and still keeping busy!

Have you tried all available cab files in the first post including this one?

"UPDATE FOR WM 6.1 PROBLEM DEVICES:-

If you are having problems running TCPMP v0.81 on your WM 6.1 device then please try this updated and recompiled version that is available HERE no guarantees though! "

If you have tried all of them I would try the smartphone version we have on site and see if that works, please remember to remove all traces of previously installed versions before installing another!

If you still bang your head against a brick wall, then as you say change the ROM, list of favoured ROMs here or try Coreplayer that should work ok.

Lightbulb Re: TCPMP QVGA v0.81 SCREEN SOLUTION

Just got the answer for the Blacked out menus on TCPMP! Here it is thanks to: fingerstoo

"It is because of the start screen or "today" theme. Some of the colour settings mean that what should be two different shades of gray/black are the same that are used by TCPMP. The Black theme used by HTC has this problem.

Try changing the theme and the problem should disappear!"

This is what I did to still have the same screen & TCPMP now working:

The trouble screen is called Diamond_v2.0b downloaded through CRC's device update, on rom 13.4. MAJOR conflict between this today screen background and TCPMP. You can have the same background with NO conflict called Flat Black through same Device Update.

This TCPMP player works GREAT!
Thanks
Gem
