Install the 6 Button Home plugin on the device, and install the Customisation cab file on your storage card. You will then have no problems if the storage card fails, as it will be the customisation that will not function causing no harm to the device.

Oh weather I can display okay, its' just not accurate enough as the USA sources are wildly out of date. That is why I'm using the BBC weather source from Spb.

Time for my own stupid question:

The HTC Home idea generally appeals ... except I hate the clock being so big! On every screenshot I've seen, the clock seems to take up between a quarter and a third of the screen, whereas I'd prefer that real eastate to be used for upcoming appointments etc.

Can that be adjusted?
