Simple things.. Missed call screen etc.. HTC Touch Dual
It is the simple things that annoy me...
I have an unlocked GSM Touch Dual on Tmobile..
1) When I get a missed call, it shows up on the HTC Today Screen Plugin. When I tap it, I get sent to the list of OUTgoing calls, not MISSED calls (or all calls for that matter). I then have to tap again to get to the MISSED Calls. My friends HTC Touch on Sprint goes to the MISSED CALLS immediately. Anyway to fix this?
2) Any good way to remap the lower screen buttons on the touchscreen? I found one program but it doesn't work well...see #3
3) I have to use Goodlink for work. I hate goodlink's contacts program.
I tried to remap the touchscreen button to contacts, but it pulls up Goodlink's contacts program instead of the native HTC contacts program. I have a link in the launcher program on HTC Today plugin, but that's two clicks, not one.
4) Under messaging, I have set up my personal email account. Is there a way to delete the empty and generic Outlook EMail account?
5) Hanging the phone up, ending a conversation seems to take forever. Seems as if I have to hit end twice... is there a fix for this?
Thanks for any assistance with the above,
chris

I haven't got that device, and don't use the plugin either, so I can only answer one of your questions. Re question 4, I have never found a way to remove the Outlook Email account even when it is not used. And I've been looking for 5 years, since I got one of the very first generation of Pocket PC phones. So I'm going to say no the Outlook account cannot be removed, but if anyone can come along and prove me wrong I'd love to hear from them.

1) sounds like a fault in the ROM. If it is annoying you enough you could try a factory reset, to see if it rectifies it, or even flash a new ROM
2) A good program to remap the soft buttons is SK Tools. This is the swiss army knife of utilities and has some very useful features
3) Goodlink appears to have highjacked your soft buttons- see 2 above!
4) As cyclist says- no way Jose! The Outlook Email is part of the system and can't be removed. (someone did post instructions for removal somewhere, but the folders returned after a soft reset)
5) Do you use the soft buttons, or the red End Call hardware button- the latter should be quicker.

Nicely answered Neil, there is a small cab file I have that will remap the software buttons, it works perfectly and is free. Once installed it will show a softkey icon in your system settings, just tap to remap! I have attached the file.

Nice one Boz
I really must revisit the download area ! (needs a bit of revamping I think, because some files aren't where you expect them to be!)
