What's new in µBook 2009r1

ooops, belated:
New 2009 skin
Added .epub as a ZIP format, no handling of meta data yet
Added guess of a good title: If the text filename is small, will check for a parent compressed file that has a longer name and use it also.
Changed touch to show gesture while dragging
Added gesture to turn touch interface silent (up-right-down)
Changed divided page cursor mode (for next and previous page by touching the screen). Now the edges will send to the next page, the center will send back. When touch control is active, the division rectangle will show in the middle of the screen.
Fixed missing Double click bug introduced with touch interface
Fixed crash when clicking during pagination
Fixed issue with cover/copyright/nag that could not be closed without a mouse/stylus before delay
Put iBook tutorial on-line again, on Getting Started page
New Icons/Graphics
New web site

Re: What's new in µBook 2009r1

Just loaded this version onto the Xperia X1 (800 x 480 res). Thoughts:

  • Tried out the new skin (nice) but as in this scren res I need to zoom the skin to 240% to make it finger controllable the elements of this skin become too large so I've goen back to using 'simple' as a skin.
  • The improved touch control for shifting cursor modes via hitting the D-pad is much better and now workable.
  • I've unfortunately had to go back to the old version I as using as no matter what I select in the options a touch on the left hand side of the screen always takes me forwards a page and not back.

Hmm that for me is unfriendly, surely we should be able to configure which bits of the screen perform what function? Cheers for the tip though!

Re: What's new in µBook 2009r1

Where can I find out what gestures are available? I accidentally found out that they even exist, and it took forever to realize on my Touch HD that double-clicking turned it off. All I was able to figure out was that left- and right- movements go back and forth... and somehow I managed to jump to the end of my book and back to the page I was reading.

I searched the site and this forum for "gesture" but found no actual listing of what is available.
