Re: uBook - what do you want?
Oh and I remembered why I dismissed the smooth scrolling year ago: Skins can have multiple columns, each having a different width and height, so smooth scrolling becomes impossible...

Re: uBook - what do you want?
Easy solution to that make it available in single column mode only

So how about delete that works when it can, and when not a message like "This file cannot be deleted". That would be good for me.

New here, so somebody else might have mentioned this later on in the thread but the skin files are pretty well documented (at least, spaced.usk is) and it's fairly easy to modify an existing skin to create a new one that suits your needs. I was evaluating uBook and was able to create a new version of "Spaced" with bigger buttons and some other customizations to suit my needs within about half an hour. If you want, I'd be happy to share that skin with you ...

Re: uBook - what do you want?
I'd definitely be interested if you could share that skin with us, I like it but the buttons are way too small for me.

Re: uBook - what do you want?
OK, here it is Basically, I made the three coloured buttons on "Spaced" be about 3 times as large, removed the maximized window (I prefer being able to see the Windows Mobile titlebar) and remove the title, min, and max icons from the titlebar since they weren't necessary. I think that's about it ...
The menu items could probably be made larger to work on a touchscreen device as well but I haven't tried to do that yet

For .txt files, an option to coalesce runs of whitespace into a single space character; similarly, an option to coalesce newline runs into a single newline. Many thanks, I really enjoy using uBook.

Me too But I'd prefer the coalescing of multiple newlines be a configurable option where you can select whether multiple newlines can be combined into one newline or two - I prefer to see the paragraph breaks clearly ....
