Okay I decided to bite the bullet and give the latest beta another go tonight. Somehow it seemed much easier to set up but I find that there are a lot of control codes showing within the text that Mobipocket does not show, which makes reading less enjoyable.

I still think the new interface is cumbersome, for example having to search for a text string is a nightmare flipping from one screen to another to enter the data.

I will carry on though and see how I go.

There seems to be a software out there (no idea which one) that doesn't generate the mobipocket/pdb files correctly, and I've tried those files on mobipocket too with similar result. It seems to encode some 0 and/or skip some characters in the middle of control tags, which means you may see what you see.

I agree about the keyboard, next revision will have an alternate view for stylus that shows the whole keyboard.

That is good news indeed. Strangely enough though Mobipocket displays the books fine without the weird control characters appearing.

I found the new GUI very confusing and hard to read. Being vision impaired the transparency makes the icons hard to make out. I for one find the old style as in v9 quite adequate for what I need. I like the program from the begining wayyyy back and have had no need for a new gui. What I would like to see is an Ipod version.
