Well i've got xp sp3 on the eeepc after a few minor hiccups.
I have installed some essentials on top of it:-
Wmp11
WLM
Tune up utilities
Winrar
AVG 8 free
And all the usual flash players etc..
Still got to install a pdf reader and some anti spyware but am too jaded for now.
Got around 1gb of the 4gb hard drive left and am going to leave it that way.
I have discovered a way to get office to run from a usb stick too so i'm a happy bunny.
It's not quite as quick as the linux distro that was pre installed but the loss in speed, for me, is outweighed easily by being able to use internet sharing with the niki coupled with the fact i'm still learning how to use linux properly.
Boots up to desktop in around a minute.
The real icing on the cake is the driver disk that comes with the eeepc containing all the xp drivers. Everything works perfectly.
Getting 3 hours battery on average (using wifi) too.
Will be interesting to see if it starts to slow up over the coming days but i think it will be fine.
So my initial thoughts are that i'm well impressed and think for value for money this is one cool little laptop.
