I fully agree too. For what it is the Shift is vastly overpriced. For the money of the shift there's a lot of laptop you can buy. The Eee PC's represent a good balance of functionality and cost.

The newer model eePCs seem to be offering more power. Not sure on the latest specs though, I need to compare. But then, do I need one... <cough>

Newer models are bigger screen and a 20gb ssd. About £350 i think.
Since when has need ever been an obstacle in the pursuit of new gadgets?
I'll post a video done with a video camea once i pick up some ram for it as those below don't really do it much justice.
