Calendar Sharing
My wife and I are both very busy at the moment. It would be really great if we had a way of easily sharing and updating our calendars. We frequently find we are both out on the same night and have forgotten to organise a baby sitter (thankfully we have very nice neighbours who have often stepped in at short notice).
At the moment, my wife has her laptop with Outlook installed which she uses for calendar and email. She also uses Bebo and Yahoo! Mail.
I have my Touch Cruise with Exchange Synching to a server and my desktop PC which runs Thunderbird, conecting to the same Exchange server over IMAP (no Thunderbird Exchange synch - yet). I also use MyYahoo but only for RSS news feeds.
There are loads of options for keeping a shared calendar. We've just recently started using 30boxes.com. This allows us to update one calendar and have it appear, in the form of an RSS Feed, on our MyYahoo homepages. This works really well except that we have to remember to go in there to enter details of appointments that will effect one another ("At meeting Tuesday Night" etc).
It would be really nice if there were a simple way of adding appointments to our existing calendars and then marking them as shared in such a way that they will appear in the others calendar.
Does anyone have anything they use for this purpose or can they thing of a way of adapting what we have to work better?

Re: Calendar Sharing
Cheers firstbuddah. That first one looks like a quick, simple and (most importantly) effort free solution for Sarah. I noticed 30Boxes can produce CSV files. It looks like this software just automates the whole thing for you.
I'll have to take some time out to read through all the solutions in that second link. Certainly some of them look promising having glanced through but they seem rather more involved.

Re: Calendar Sharing
1) Build you own domain and exchange server.
2) Add both yourself and wife as users.
3) create appointments with both of you mandatory.
4) use WM smartphones.
May be a touch overkill but it'd work!

Re: Calendar Sharing
Hmmm, maybe a tad expensive as well. I can cope with $20 for a synchMyCal license, but the cost of a server, Windows Server license, Exchange Server license and getting the wife a wm phone is slightly more than I was looking to spend.

Re: Calendar Sharing
I like Waveys idea, and I'm there with regards to Exchange etc. It's just that Sue refuses to use it!

Re: Calendar Sharing
With the help of the Pink Qtek 8500 I've got Rach on board.
