PC Auditing software

Looking to source software for work which will allow auditing of PCs from my desktop machine. We basically want to be able to audit both sides, hardware components (processor / memory / etc) as well as software installed / license data etc.

So far Iv'e looked around and found the following which looks pretty capable and is not too expensive:

Total Network Inventory: remote PC audit software for networks (LAN). PC hardware inventory and audit computers software.

So a good buy, yes, no? Any alternatives worth considering? Cost is important, the budget is somewhat limited!

Dunno about TNI, but we use Centennial at our place. Does really good hardware auditting along with software discovery.

You should also take a look at PC Inventory Advisor, we are using this system in 3 our office in Australia, and are very happy with it. The reports layout is by far most user-friendly for per-PC and overall statistics and data collection.

Cheers Frank I like the look of that as well so will definitely check it out. I assume you can run custom reports to check (as an example) which machines are suffering from a lack of memory?
