Looking to source software for work which will allow auditing of PCs from my desktop machine. We basically want to be able to audit both sides, hardware components (processor / memory / etc) as well as software installed / license data etc.

You should also take a look at PC Inventory Advisor, we are using this system in 3 our office in Australia, and are very happy with it. The reports layout is by far most user-friendly for per-PC and overall statistics and data collection.
Cheers Frank I like the look of that as well so will definitely check it out. I assume you can run custom reports to check (as an example) which machines are suffering from a lack of memory?
