Hello my friend
it feels good to have some spare time to be back online Love what you did with the site btw, looks awsome
Although you say that it should work (and I believe you) , since it could be hard to revert back to the original rom in the event of a problem in the upgrade, have you (or someone else) read anywhere of someone actually using this rom to upgrade a HTC P3300?

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Well, I just launched the setup and tried to apply it and I get an error:
"Invalid Vendor ID"
Oh well, I'll wait a bit more since as I seem to have read somewhere, a specific WM6 upgrade is due sometime soon for the HTC P3300

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Hi Lightman, great to have you back with us, even if temporarily!
Maybe I need to be more specific in the preamble but the O2 ROM update is unlikely to work on another vendor machine due to the in-built check in the ROM. The 'principle' for upgrading any other Artemis based device should be the same, however, you may just need a specific ROM for the device.
Sorry if that wasn't too clear.
I think there are tools out there to remove the restriction. I'm pretty sure if you asked at XDA Devs you'd get an answer....

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Thanks for the tip, I'll look around over at XDA Devs
I'm trying to "discipline" myself to stop by more often

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Indeed a lot has happened with the site since you were last online - check out the reviews sections as an example.
It is technically possible to load the Orbit ROM on to the machine but you would need to carry out some editing of the file to achieve it. But no I don't know of anyone who has done it

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Hi kishanhalani and welcome to 4WM
This is the rom upgrade for WM5 to WM6, it is the WM6 English version and will only work if your device already has the WM5 English version. You just need to download the WM6 rom onto your desktop and run it following the instructions on the previous page.
If you are not sure what you are doing do not do it!

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Just try another service providers sim card in the device, it will work if it is unlocked.
