Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Tony,
Simplest way to eliminate Vista is if you have access to another PC with XP on it.
I do use Vista for my upgrades but if I do hit problems I revert to my XP laptop....
I take it you could get the orbit into Bootloader mode OK?

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Tony (lestat1uk),
Although not in the same position as you, you had me thinking about Vista and I decided to re-flash my Orbit from it (or at least try!).
I went against my advice and just took out the SIM card and Storage Card but I didn't do a full hard reset. Connected the Orbit and re-flashed a different ROM via Vista with no issues! So at least the underlying principle of flashing via Vista works.....
Any joy with using XP?

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
Nice work Tony, WMDC and Vista has been much better since the advent of version 6.1, still not great for a few cases but works with the majority.

Re: O2 XDA Orbit WM6 Upgrade FAQ
I must admit Tony, I am struggling on this one as it works on my Vista installation. For safety, I would now explore the XP route if possible. At least that way you could eliminate a problem with the Orbit....
Sorry
