As a result of a badly cracked and completely unusable touchscreen on my XDA-Exec (HTC Universal) I needed to find a company who could perform an out of warranty repair.

After some considerable searching I tracked down a company called SPS Mobile.

They fixed and returned my device in very quick time:
Sent Day 1 lunchtime (Special Delivery- before 1pm next day).
Delivered Day 2.
Received device back Day 3 (Special Delivery - before 1pm next day)

All in all 48 hours from despatch to return.

Total cost for new LCD and digitiser was £90 + £5 (Special Delivery P&P).

They answered the telephone on the 2nd ring.
Their Web site is updated with current prices.

Booking in of a device is performed via a Web Page. Fill in the form, print it off and send it with device. You get an email confirming they have received the order as well.

Payment is by cheque or Paypal. I paid by paypal.

Considering the value of these devices it is always a worry sending them off to an unknown company so I would recommend this company for a great service and at a reasonable price as well.

Have also found another company as a result of an article in PDAEssentials Turnonyourmobile - cannot speak personally but the website looks professional and they seem to cover every aspect of problems inclusing ROM upgrade failures / bricked devices.

Nice find, do you know of anyone on other forums or elsewhere that have tried them?

No - it was in this months PDAEssentials - pick it every now and then, and thought the ROM recovery was something to keep track of as everyone needs a get out of jail card sometime
