Registry - what it is and how to edit it

A frequent requirement, to add a feature or to implement a fix, is the need to modify the Registry.

Although a lot of us know what it isn and how to modify it, we may forget that Registry modification is not something that should ever be taken lightly. One wrong change can completely break the current WM install and require a full rebuild with a loss of all data held on the device itself.

For all those who are not sure of what the registry is and how you go about making changes there is an article on WMExperts that just about covers everything you need to know.

(Its also quite a good read for those who do know the registry anyway)
