Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

Yes - trying to.

Ive just got into the office so will try the USB first as that has always worked before - thereafter my issue has always been that I can only remotely sync/get push mail via the WAP connection - I have to delete the GPRS as whislt it connects to our exchange server and sees changes need to be sync'd, it then bombs out before those changes actually get made.

Will update shortly following cable sync.

Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

OK - have managed a sucessful cable sync in the office. After I set up the partnership the phone asked "Exchange server ********** must enforce security policies on your device to continue sync. Do you wish to cntiunue?" - I clicked yes and then it asked me to set a password and following that everything sync'd over correctly.

It seems this would only work when connected locally as last night I couldnt do this remotely.

Now I am back to the issue of getting active sync/push working over GPRS/3G rather than WAP!

Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

Hmmm.....the "must enforce security policies on your device" sounds ominous.....

Can you find out what these policies are?

Speak to whoever administers your exchange server.

Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

Well its me and one of my business partners lol.

Just to point out that this happened the last time and remote sync/push was working ok but only over WAP.

Is it normal for our exchange server to "authorise" the device to connect?

I would have thought so?

Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

Are use using http or https?

If it's http it should just be your password. If it's https it should be your security certificate and your password. Not sure where this policy comes into it?

Re: Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP,

The prompts suggest its something that Active Sync is requesting based on it linking to exchange.

It appears that the above point does make a difference - I set up the WAP connection using the default proxy settings and it wouldnt sync. I changed the port from 80 to 8799 on the HTTP as above and it now syncs.

Again I STILL have the issue of not being able to sync over GPRS/3G.
