Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
I agree with Windows, I do virtually all of my email and forum posting from my device and thus a keyboard is important, if it wasn't for this then I'd see no reason to have one.time

I have to agree with that line of thought, hence my main choices are devices with keyboards...

Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
I've gone with the Diamond My Orange contracts are due for update soon, so maybe an option for me!
I've had devices with keyboards (Exec and MiniS) and also have an Ameo, and I rarely use the hard keyboard. I find TouchPal, for all its annoyances, to be faster and easier than the hardware alternative.
I need a very small, pocket sized phone for 'normal' voice calls etc, and the Diamond may come close to my current Samsung u600, with the added benefit of the WM infrastructure.

Still amazingly well balanced though, with the Diamond the edge slightly.

Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
I will go with X1 (current thought). Like the design, specs are good for me, and .... the hardware qwerty keyboard is a must to have
Honestly, I am not that excited by the interface - prefer to do my own customizations. And here probably comes another critical piont when making purchasing decision - available community support

- Not necessarily. I do not use ppc for e-mailing - on wap connection, behind proxy, .... Well, do a lot of texting (SMS). There is something wrong with my fingers - virtually cannot type with numeric or screen keyboards

Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
True but a lot of folks I know find the keyboard essential purely for the email handling.

Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
Thanks to Windows recent style changes to the mobile style (thanks mate) I have voted for the Raphael based on it being HTC and its having a keyboard but I would like a look at the Sony.phone

Re: If you bought a new machine in the next few months?
Well I plumped for the Diamond after some debate with myself! Purely because I can cope without a hardware keyboard nicely now.
