Re: 3G or not 3G?

just started to use my tmob chip today. unlike orange when at the train station on the way to work there is no 3G - just G but nearer town its H (when the signal does not drop out completely and go back to G.

I did read somewhere that on the WnW basic (1gb) the speed was limited anyway-is this true.

A man after my own heart! That's exactly what I've been doing lately, making more use of Wi-Fi...

Depends on when you got WnW. If, like me, you joined when there was only one level, and stayed on basic when TMobile invented multiple levels, then there is no speed restriction on basic. However customers who took WnW when there was a choice of levels don't get HSDPA on basic.

Re: 3G or not 3G?

I can get the signal, but either don't understand fully what the benefit of it is and or, I'm too afraid to find out via my bill at the end of the month....

Hell, I've even got an HSPDA (?) signal in my area, but think I have to phone up to enable the phone to actually connect to the net and how much using that is, I dread to think...

Re: 3G or not 3G?

HSDPA is just a higher data speed than 3G, it costs no more than 3G as it downloads the same amount of data as HSDPA but faster, so is ideal for downloading and surfing the web as the web pages load much more quickly and downloads are faster.

The cheapest way of surfing by 3G/HSDPA is buying a monthly data bundle which have plummeted in price in recent months.

Re: 3G or not 3G?

The cost of enabling 3G on mobile in my country from internet service provider is too much thats why i would prefer a mobile without 3G since it is useless to have 3G in my mobile if i cannot use it.
