Re: Web browsers
I'l agree with that, with PIE I never used the net on the PDA, now with Opera I do.

Re: Web browsers
PIE for this site works for me as using opera (the earlier versions of 9.5) was far to cumbersome... Although useful for other sites when needed. Netfront 3.5 did not last to long either as certain parts of a particular site I help staff would not load? Maybe I am to impatient

Re: Web browsers
I love SkyFire. I believe it is better than Opera because it supports Flash and all the other cool web stuff. I was web racing a guy with a 3G iPhone over the weekend. I was kicking his can beating him to sites using SkyFire!

Re: Web browsers
well it looks like we have a winner.
for me I'll stick with pie with tabbed browsing for now though as I flash to often to be sorting out near on thirty favourites each time.
I hope opera change this in the future as it is a very useable browser once you give it a chance.

Re: Web browsers
Opera does import PIE faves, or at least it did when I installed it, into a separate folder within Favorites (skuze the spelin!).
My biggest prob with Opera was the phantom files it created using punctuation marks as file names, making them impossible to remove. These files ran into the several-Gigabytes-size category which eventually cause my Hermes to crash and burn. I hard-reset it and went back to PIE with a trial version of PIEPlus installed. I can see no advantage of using Opera over this combination of PIE+add-on.
Just my 10-penneth...

To be perfectly honest - I don't know
I got it as part of my Modaco Plus membership recently, so I'm guessing it's a newer version (downloaded last month). The cab file is referenced as ppc_865. I'm not prepared to install it again to find the version number because of the problems it caused.
I've just downloaded 9.51beta and I'm waiting for feedback from Modaco to see if registration codes are going to be generated on their automated system (all part of their Plus membership package).
Paul.
