Re: Web browsers

cheers paul.

that is the older version and it definitely does import the pie contacts.

the mind boggles as to why they left it out this time.

Re: Web browsers

I am using Skyfire and the latest build of opera 9.5 build 1938. Depending on what I want to do, I use either one. Both are fast and flexible. I gave up on PIE a long time ago. I tried Net Front but one of the early releases. At the time, it was too archaic.

I have to agree it is the most versatile.

Re: Web browsers

There's no option for Safari

On WM I'm still using straight PIE (lost the tabbed add on a few rebuilds/devices ago), I've dabbled in the others but not really found one I liked enough yet. I tried to load Skyfire this week and just got an error so at some point I'll need to investigate a bit deeper.

Is there anything that does flash website rendering on the client? I have a possible use for this in the enterprise.

Re: Web browsers

I don't think there is a browser that renders flash. There is a flash player out there.

Skyfire is good once you get it running. I'm still choosing the browser based on the task. PIE is great for this site and others with a specific mobile front end as they just load and render so quickly. Opera is great for desktop pages and Skyfire works a treat for iPlayer etc.

Re: Web browsers

I've been using the IRIS browser a lot, althought the new IE on some builds of WM is a definite improvement...

Re: Web browsers

I like Opera mini 9.5, the most and am using it recently. It has many cool new enhancements and features with Opera Mobile 9.5, including a desktop-like browsing experience, although,I noticed that the user interface has changed quite a bit with new toolbars on the top and bottom of the screen. With the new desktop-like browser, I can zoom in and out of the webpage like Opera Mini and the iPhone.

Re: Web browsers

I use the modified operamini by shiranmotha http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398567

I dont have to launch java and OK the data connection and then ok what ever screen there was after that.

I just tap opera mini from my start menu and thats it. Its so much easier.
